It’s been a while!…

We have been busy as bee’s here in the Temple Bar Hotel, so apologies for being a little absent of late!

But we are back on track and very excited to begin the ball roll again with our Blog

So what have we missed?!… Let’s see, where to begin? The Tall Ships? ,Taste of Dublin?, The World Cup kick off and progression?, Garth “Brooks Gate”? The last few months have been enough to make our heads spin!

Touching briefly on Garth Brooks, a now very sensitive subject for us all! We are, of course, deeply disappointed to hear that all five shows have been cancelled. However, in the spirit of not dwelling on “if tomorrow never comes” (I’m sorry, I had to throw in at least one bad taste pun!) Let’s discuss how we can fill the void!

Luckily Dublin offers a plethora of musical events both in and around the city to keep us bopping the summer away. The National Concert Hall, in all its splendor, boosts an impressive setting and with 1,000 annual events, it always has something to offer the discerning music enthusiast! This summer, homegrown talents, Sinead O’Connor and Damien Dempsey shall take centre stage, tickets starting at just 37EUR! So no doubt both shall be fantastic and a truely authentic taste of what Ireland does best! For full listing’s on events and concerts please see our website.

August will see the return of Electric Picnic to Stradbally, with big names such as Portishead, Outkast and Blondie headlining the main stage, it is set, as always, to be a weekend to remember! If you are one of the lucky wellie wielding brigade transcending upon Co.Laois don’t forget to check out local talent such as Ham Sandwich, Bicep and Sinead O’Connor!

For a more rustic and casual evening’s entertainment, Dublin boosts more bars and live venue’s than you can shake a stick at! And where better to begin a journey through the live music venue’s of Dublin than our very own Buskers! Offering live music seven nights a week, ranging from Trad to Rock, Buskers really does cater for all tastes. Nestled comfortably along Temple Bar’s main strip Buskers lively atmosphere and outdoor terrace attract both locals and visitors alike. Why not check our site!

So next time you step out in Dublin, keep your eyes and ears open to the sounds of the city! You will find that music is everywhere!
